 Known for his speed, skill and stellar ability at creating a comfortable tattoo experience, Nate(he/him 🏳️‍⚧️) is a tattooer who co-owns Modify Body Arts with his wife, Denika. He’s passionate about helping clients feel confident through meaningful tattoos and specializes in cover-up work ranging from unwanted tattoos to scars. Outside of tattooing, Nate enjoys painting, making miniatures, and spending time with his family and cats. He looks forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces to the studio!

Denika (she/her) has been piercing since 2020. She believes in an informed and gentle approach and strives to provide a comfortable piercing experience for her clients in a clean and welcoming space. Denika is happy to make accommodations as needed to ensure accessibility and inclusion. Denika has experience working with clients with autism, Parkinson’s, sensory disorders, and anxiety. Denika co-owns Modify with her husband Nate Hartley (tattoo artist). She is a mother to two amazing kids and 6 cats and in her spare time she enjoys thrifting for discarded treasures and watching true crime documentaries. Denika can’t wait to meet and pierce you at the new studio!

Katelyn/Kate(she/her) @katelynsgrave has been tattooing since November 2022. She is a black and grey tattoo artist from Lower Sackville. Kate is inspired by nature, animals and all things spooky! She strives for a fun, comfortable, safe environment and loves to make people laugh.  

In her spare time she reads and watches horror, journals, collects trinkets and spends time with her hamster Timothy.

Ashley Peachy(she/her) has been apprenticing under denika since March 2024. Ashley has a keen eye for jewelry styling and gravitates towards whimsical fantasy pieces, rose gold, and opals. She is skillful with a needle and loves to do conch and rook piercings. During her free time Ashley enjoys photography, fashion, and playing video games. Check her out @pokedbypeachy and if you feel up for it, volunteer for an apprentice piercing too!

Jess(she/her) @perigonails is a nail tech providing nail enhancement services including gel extensions, gel overlays and gel polish manicures. With her passion for nail art and detailed designs, she strives to create a fun and comfortable environment where her clients can leave feeling confident in their claws! On her days off she spends her time being a mom to her naked cat named Iggy. Make sure to give Jess a follow and book in when she starts taking clients!

Chloé (she/her) is a blackwork tattoo artist from Moncton, NB. Her specialties are botanicals, pinups, fantasy, and medieval engraving-style tattoos. In her spare time, she loves to draw and play horror games!

We’re thrilled to welcome tattoo artist Juri @redbattattoo to the Modify Body Arts team! Originally from Germany and most recently working in Winnipeg at @odinseyetattoos, Juri has been tattooing since 2011 and specializes in hyperrealistic floral colour work, biomechanical, portrait and pet realism, to 3D nipple and areola reconstruction tattoos.
